Green Room Conference Sets a New Standard

Friday, 26 February 2010

With his undeniable charisma and surfing experience, Wayne "Rabbit" Bartholomew was the perfect MC for the newly created Green Room Conference concept created by Surfing Australia.

The range and quality of presenters from the likes of surfing legend Luke Egan to ASP Head Judge Richie Porta or pioneer Ian "Kanga" Cairns to sports physiotherapist Tim Brown meant that there was something for everyone at this ground breaking event.

The conference highlighted the new found maturity and professionalism of surfing and set a platform for further high level development opportunities in the future.

"We were confident from the outset that with the line up of talent we had for this conference that we could put together something of great value for the surfing community. We are really pleased that this vision was supported by those who attended" said Surfing Australia Sports Development Manager Chris Symington.

Due to the success and positive feedback that has flowed from the conference, we will definitely see this as a more permanent fixture on Surfing Australia's ever expanding calendar of events.
