To be eligible to enter Wahu events (events 1-6 of the series) you must be under the specified age as of the 31st December 2012. To enter events (7-8 of the series) you must be under the specified age as of the 4th February, 2013. All divisions are limited, with entry allocated on a first in first served basis. This means for under 9's you must be either 7 or 8 years old. For Under 11's you will be either 9 or 10, Under 13's you will be 11 or 12 & Under 15 you will be either 13 or 14.

Multiple division entry is permitted.

NSW Event Entries Open!

ICONIC Australian beach brand Wahu in partnership with Surfing Australia will be changing the colour of the approaching summer, with the dates for the acclaimed Wahu Surfer Groms Comps released.

In 2012/2013 the eight event series will hit the shores of four states (NSW, VIC, WA and QLD) and will once again play host to the exciting, all-grommet affairs.

The surfer groms comps cater for the mini, mirco groms (U/7) to the big kids alike (U/15) of any level, and is all about providing a fun, but competitive environment. There will also be loads of prize giveaways and tons of beach games.

Divison Breakdown 

Under 15 Boys - Under 15 Girls age: 13 & 14yrs
Under 13 Boys - Under 13 Girls age: 11 & 12
Under 11 Boys - Under 11 Girls age: 9 & 10
Under 9 Boys (parent assist) - Under 9 Girls (parent assist) age: 7 & 8
Under 7 Boys & Girls mixed (parent assist) age: 6 & under

Each entrant will receive a Wahu Surfer Groms Comp t-shirt for entering, plus a Wahu beach product.

There will be tons of action throughout each event day with daily award giveaways across the surfing and beach game disciplines, which state branches will be coordinating.

New Hurley Surfing Australia HPC PRIZE FOR 2012.... As an added bonus to the series, the respective winners of the Under 13 boy's and girl's division from each event will receive an invite to attend the exclusive, all expenses paid three-day Wahu Surf Camp at the Hurley Surfing Australia High Performance Centre.

While there is some serious competition planned, the main objective is to get kids active and having fun.
