Groms Open Emerald NSW Bodyboard State Titles Round 2
Thursday, 12 July 2012
The Emerald NSW Bodyboard State Titles Round 2 opened up at North Cronulla Beach today with a small 2ft north east swell and light winds. The youngest competitors surfed for their chance to be crowned NSW Champions and make their way to the Australian Titles.

Joe Burke (Copacabana) placed 4th in round one of the cadets but bounced back in style performing for the judges. Joe surfed through the re-qualifer scoring the highest single wave of the day, 9.23.
Joe stated, "It was mid way through the heat i got a small one, built up speed and landed an ARS into a roll. This pushed me up to first taking away the win and confidence leading to round 2".
