# 40 Surfing Through Fat Sections

A really common situation surfers face is to surf through fat sections on waves. The best technique to use is to surf rail-to-rail whenever possible, and this approach should the first choice used by surfers, rather than bouncing through the section. Bouncing should only be used as a last resort in these situations.
