2010 O’Neill South Coast Junior challenge

The second event in Surfing Tasmania state junior series is on February 20/21, in the South Arm Area. Surfers  will be vying for state team spots in the Under 18 and 16 male and female divisions, with under 14 and junior long boarders vying for valuable ratings points for state titles.

 

As added bonus the top two 18 boys off the state ratings vying for wildcard spots at the O'Neill Coldwater Classic , with a spot at the Coastalwatch Training camp for the 16 boys.

Contest Director Pat Fasnacht, "with increased numbers learning through Surfing Australia Licensed surfschools we are seeing in turn far greater participation levels in junior ranks , leading to higher levels of performance in Junior competition hopefully will see another Tassie surfer emulate Dara Penfold and win a world junior crown in coming years."
