East Coast Classic final event in 2010 Surfing Tas circuit

With the winter fast approaching , the East coast Classic is on May 15/16 a totally mobile event around the Scamander area, the potential of late Autumn swells encouraged contest Director John Hoult to try and end the circuit in the best waves possible.

"We have moved the event seasonally wise in the last few years , I am hoping we will get some of the great waves that usually typify autumn on Tassie east coast". John Hoult

Despite Jy Johannesen clinching the Open State Title, competition will be fierce with surfers trying to qualify for the Tasmanian Team, which will surf in the Coutnry Energy Australian Surf Festival on the NSW Mid North Coast.

In the open division the likes of Dustin Hollick, Luke Bugg, Ben Richardson and Luke Johannesen will be the ones to watch, with the likes of Chris Potter , Scott Weinrich , Claire Mcmanus , John Kohlemainen and Dave Cover chasing a state title in their divisions
