A swell of interest for an artifical reef in the South Arm area is buidling with the online Facebook Group membership past 1200, with Tasmania's population of just under 500000 thats a big interest group already..  

The online petition group are committed to creating a recreational diving and surfing location.

The South Arm region some  20 minutes from the Hobart CBD receives some of the most consistent  swell in Australia, but due to very poor sandbank movements the area rarely holds over 1 metre of swell and even at smaller sizes the 10 plus kilometres of beach can represent closeouts.
