The Rip Curl GromSearch is a worldwide series of events designed especially for grommets. From Australia to America it gives groms the centre stage to show everyone what they’ve got. To be eligible to enter GromSearch events you must be the specified age or under as of the 31st December, 2012. To enter the 16 and under division you cannot turn 17 or older on or before the 31st December, 2012. All divisions are limited, with entry allocated on a first in first served basis. Participants may enter two divisions in all events as long as they satisfy the age clarifications and pay the entry fee for both divisions. However, if there is pressure on the entry numbers in a division, competitors in two divisions can be asked to give up their spot in their second chosen division.

Multiple division entry is permitted.
Boys 16 and Under, Boys 14 and Under (FULL), Boys 12 and Under (FULL), Girls 16 and Under, Girls 14 and Under (FULL), Girls 12 and Under (FULL)

The GromSearch series is all about getting male and female surfers down the beach with their friends to surf in a relaxed and fun environment and at the same time it gives grommets the competitive experience needed for further development in their surfing careers.

GromSearch provides its participants with a countrywide ratings system, at least two surfs and will be hitting the shores of four states across Australia in 2012.

The male and female winners (16 and under boys and girls divisions) of each event receive an invite to the National final held on the final day of the Queensland event in December.

The winners of the National final will represent Australia at the International GromSearch final held during the 2013 Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach.

In past years GromSearch has witnessed some of today's most influential male and female surfers on the winners' podium, which include; Stephanie Gilmore, Jordy Smith, Ben Dunn, Matt Wilkinson, Owen Wright, Sally Fitzgibbons and Laura Enever.

Entry is easy and available now so get involved and who knows, you may end up joining the prestigious list of past winners.
