10 of Warnambool’s young boys get some tips from surfing champions.

(Torquay, VIC - Wednesday, 10th February 2009): 10 of Warnambool's upand coming surfers got the chance to surf with 2 of Victoria's best surferstoday for the Play it Safe by the Water Surf with the Boys Program Presented byOakley.
Held at the Flume, each participant got thechance to learn some valuable water safety knowledge while surfing with RipCurl Pro runner up Adam Robertson (Portland) and World Qualifying Series SurferJack Perry (Jan Juc).
Regardless of the small swell and light onshorewinds, all the boys were keen to get in the water and learn some valuable watersafety knowledge off Robertson and Perry.
Jack Perry was impressed with the level ofenthusiasm from the young Warnambool boys.

The day consisted of a talk on water safety,identifying rips, and never surfing alone.
Participants learnt and hung out with Robertsonand Perry and with both surfers looking to continue their WQS campaigns in2009, there was some world class surfing on show for the boys to experiencefirst hand.
Josh Cole was a lucky winner on the day walkingaway with a brand new Oakley hat.
Oakley has joined forces with Play It Safe by theWater this year to present the program after a hugely successful partnershipfor the Surfing for Girls Program in December.
Entries are limited for the day so anyoneinterested is encouraged to enter online at www.surfingvic.com as soon aspossible.
The days are for intermediate to experiencedsurfers and are a chance for them to further their surfing skills.
The sessions are free to all boys and willinclude a talk on surf safety, how to perform a beach rescue and a free surfingsession with Adam and Jack.
The program is a joint partnership between Oakley,Surfing Victoria, Life Saving Victoria and supported by the surfing industry.
