Perfect waves and great surfing at Woolamai!

(Phillip Island, VIC - Friday 19^thFebruary 2009): Woolamai beach turned on today for the Play it Safe by theWater Surf with the Boys Tour Presented by Oakley today at Sandy Point.

A good swell and offshore winds greeted surfers atthe famous beach break  as theregions young boys got the chance to get in the water with pro surfers AdamRobertson (Portland) and Nic Muscroft (Jan Juc)

And with the good waves  the local talent was on show for the travelling pro surfers.

"The kids were ripping!" noted Robertson.

"There was great waves, great surfing andsunshine. What more could you ask for!"

Each participant got the chance to learn somevaluable water safety knowledge while surfing with Rip Curl Pro runner up AdamRobertson (Portland) and former World Championship Tour surfer Nic Muscroft(Jan Juc).

With these young boys looking to take theirsurfing to the next level, this was the perfect opportunity to get some watersafety and surfing advice from two of Victoria's best.

The day consisted of a talk on water safety,identifying rips, and never surfing alone along with a tag team mini-comp andfree surf.

Participants learnt and hung out with Robertsonand Muscroft and with them both looking to continue their WQS campaigns in2009, there was some world class surfing on show for the boys to experiencefirst hand.

Patrick Vuillemin (Yanakie) was the lucky winneron the day winning himself a brand new Oakley Backpack.

The tour now moves to Inverloch.

Entries are limited for the day so anyoneinterested is encouraged to enter online at www.surfingvic.com as soon aspossible.

The days are for intermediate to experiencedsurfers and are a chance for them to further their surfing skills.

The sessions are free to all boys and willinclude a talk on surf safety, how to perform a beach rescue and a free surfingsession with Adam and Nic.

The program is a joint partnership between Oakley,Surfing Victoria, Life Saving Victoria and supported by the surfing industry.
