School Surfing Titles
Schools go head to head for a spot in the State team!

(Phillip Island, VIC - Sunday, 9th May2010): Victorian schools and students will go head to head this weekend to claima spot in the Victorian state team at Phillip Island.
The Australian Junior Titles are being held atPhillip Island in December this year and will see the Top Juniors fromAustralia head to the world famous Woolamai Beach to battle for the prestigioustitle of champion.
6 teams will compete in a tag-team format onFriday, which will see the top teams represent the state at the end of theyear. This years schools are Sandrigham S.C., Hailberry College, Oberon HighSchool, Newhaven College, Wonthaggi S.C. and Dromana S.C.
The individual's event will run over the weekend,seeing the states best surfers from schools compete for a spot in the stateteam.
16 year old Harrison Mann will be looking to makethe State team once again to take on Australia's best and hopefully make thecut for the Australian national team.
After his recent run of great results on theVictorian circuit, he is a great chance to make the cut.
Other notable surfers are Shyama Buttonshaw(Bells Beach), Tom Cole (Phillip Island), Lucy Ruffy (Kew) and Under 16 girlsState Champion Kelly Laity (Sandy Point).
The event will be held at Woolamai Beach(Dependent on conditions) on Friday 14th to Sunday 16th of May.
This event is being run and supported by theVictorian Secondary School Sports association, the Victorian School SurfingAssociation and Surfing Victoria.
