All competitors must be competent swimmers able to swim 50m (in ocean) and tread water for 1 minute. It is the school’s responsibility to ensure all students meet this minimum requirement.

$40.00 (inc. GST) per division

The 2010 Brownes Chill WA School Surfing Titles presented by Waves Surfwear will see 128 schools and over 700 competitors taking part in the two weeks of competition with private and public highschools across the state going head to head.

The competition divides the state into ten zones, with five Perth Metropolitan zones and five regional zones (Peel, Southern, South West, Bunbury and North West).

Each school will field a team of two surfers or bodyboarders, who compete in the divisions of U18 boys, U18 girls, U15 girls, U15 boys.

The winning teams of each division, in each zone will then meet at the state finals held at Trigg on Friday 27th August, 2010 and get the chance to represent WA at the National Titles held in December in Phillip Island, Victoria.

According to the Australian School Surfing Association, the aim of the State School Titles is to provide surfers and bodyboarders the opportunity to compete against their peers and represent their schools, providing a stepping stone for students to higher levels of competition.
