Australia’s Fresh Food People - Woolworths is proud to partner with Surfing Australia as the naming rights sponsor of the 2018/19 Woolworths Surfer Groms Comps.
Woolworths will bring a fresh approach to summer, with the dates for the acclaimed Surfer Groms Comps released.
In 2018/2019 the series consists of ten events which will hit the shores of every State and will once again deliver action packed surfing and good times.
The Woolworths Surfer Groms Comps cater for the mini, mirco groms (U/8) to the big kids alike (U/14) of any level, and is all about providing a fun, but competitive environment. There will also be loads of prize giveaways and tons of beach games.
Each entrant will receive a Woolworths Surfer Groms Comp event product.
There will be Woolworths fresh fruit stalls throughout each event day.
As an added bonus to the series, the winners of the Under 14 divisions at each event will be invited to respective boys’ and girls’ (20 participants total) 3 day “ Woolworths Surf Camps” (all-expenses paid) at the Surfing Australia High Performance Centre.
For the South Australian, Tasmanian and Victorian events, the Woolworths Surf Camp prize will be awarded to the highest place U14 Boy & Girl who reside in that respective State.
Surfing Australia invites aspiring groms of any level to come along and have a go via entering any of the ten Woolworths Surfer Groms Comps events below:
Entering an Event:
Due to the high volume of competitors entering each event of the Woolworths Surfer Groms Comps, each respective event entry opening will be staggered to allow individuals the opportunity to enter multiple events in the series.
Each event entry opening will be staggered; Please note: To save confusion all Entry Opening Times will run off Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
NSW events; Entry opening times for Ev1 - Fri August 10
EVENT 1 - Cronulla, NSW - Sept 1 - 2, 2018 - Entries open Fri August 10 at 5pm AEST
NSW events; Entry opening times for Ev2 - Wed August 15
EVENT 2 - Northern Beaches, NSW - Sept 8 - 9, 2018 - Entries open Wed August 15 at 5pm AEST
NSW events; Entry opening times for Ev3 - Mon August 20
EVENT 3 - Coffs Harbour, NSW - Oct 7 - 8, 2018 - Entries open Mon August 20 at 5pm AEST

EVENT 10 - Clifton Beach, TAS - Feb 23, 2019 - Entries open Mon October 8 at 5pm AEST
EVENT SERIES DATES;
U/14 Boys and U/14 Girls, U/12 Boys and U/ 12 Girls, U/ 10 Boys (Optional parent assist) and U/10 Girls (Optional parent assist), U/8 Boys and Girls mixed division (Parent assist).
To be eligible to enter Surfer Grom Comp events (events 1-7 of the series) you must be under the specified age as of the 31st December 2018. To enter events (8-10 of the series) you must be under the specified age as of the 23rd Feb, 2019. All divisions are limited, with entry allocated on a first in first served basis.
A refund is only available if advised that a competitor cannot attend the respective event 14 days prior and a valid doctor’s certificate is provided.
