Championship Tour Stars Set Sites On Vissla Central Coast Pro And Sisstrevolution Central Coast Pro
AVOCA BEACH, CENTRAL COAST (Tuesday, 26 February 2019): Avoca Beach is preparing to host the first World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series (QS) 3000 rated event on Australian shores this week with a massive international field expected.
With a healthy amount of QS points on offer, the event has attracted some of the sports biggest names including Championship Tour (CT) stars Owen Wright (AUS), Conner Coffin (USA), Wade Carmichael (AUS) and Bronte Macaulay (WA) to name a few.
These proven competitors won’t have it easy with over 200 hungry QS competitors hoping to take down some big scalps as they look to join them on the CT at year’s end.
Earlier today, trials winner’s Joel Vaughan (Bateau Bay, NSW) secured himself a spot in the main event, taking out an elite field of interstate and local competitors.
Early forecasts indicate there will be one-to-three foot waves on offer over the opening days of the event period.
The elite six-day event will form the third and final stop on the Vissla NSW Pro Surf Series and will take place in Avoca Beach from the 27th February – 4th March 2019.
The 2019 Vissla Central Coast Pro is supported by the NSW Government. The event will also be proudly supported by Vissla, Sisstrevolution, Central Coast Council, AirAsia, H2Coco, Avoca Beach Hotel, Sea FM, WSL and Surfing NSW.
