Surfers Rescue 24/7 is a free CPR and board rescue course. Surfers are on the beach from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year. A lot of them are responsible for hundreds of thousands of unsung rescues.In conjunction with pro-surfers who are currently working as lifeguards, Surfing NSW have identified board rescue techniques that may prove to be crucial in times of need.
What to bring
- Wetsuit - participants will be asked to participate in mock rescues in surf
- Surfboard - using your own board is beneficial
- Pen & identifications - for accreditation CPR process e.g. drivers license
NOTE: You will need to generate & bring along your USI (Unique Student Identification) to get your CPR Certificate generated via the government website: http://www.usi.gov.au/
After completion of both components of the course along with registration form, Surfing NSW provide you with a Surfers Rescue 24/7 Certificate of Completion & Surf Life Saving NSW will directly mail
your Nationally Accredited CPR Certificate.
