2018 QCC Alley Classic postponed due to lack of swell

The series finale of the Queensland Championship Circuit (QCC) series the Alley Classic that was scheduled to run this weekend on the Gold Coast has been postponed due to a lack of swell.

The new scheduled date for the event is next weekend, Sunday the 24th of June.

“The QCC is Surfing Queensland’s premium event series. With so much at stake it’s crucial that competitors gain the best conditions where ever possible. Predictions for this weekend show that this wasn’t going to be possible,” said Surfing Queensland CEO Adam Yates.

The Alley Classic has a long history of attracting some of the best surfers in the world including World Surf League Championship Tour athletes such as Ricardo Christie, Bede Durbridge, Adam Melling and Mitch Crews.

All entries will be rolled over to the new dates.
