Gold Coast Leg of Masters Surf Series Presented by Nusa Cana Rum Postponed Due To Inclement Weather

The first leg of the 2019 Masters Surf Series presented by Nusa Cana Rum that was set to run this weekend on the Gold Coast has been postponed due to Inclement weather and extreme swell. The new scheduled date for the event is the weekend of the 25th / 26th May 2019.

“Safety of competitors is our number one priority,” said Surfing Queensland CEO Adam Yates. “This cyclone has brought a large swell with it, and the size of this swell is far too risky for the safety of our competitors, hopefully, we’ll see some more favourable conditions at the revised date.”

All entries will be rolled over to the new date.
