The Junior State Titles will be held on the 7 or 8 April, April (Yorkes), 7 April (as part of the Southern Surf Festival) and 19 or 20 May 2018 - Conditions Permitting. Dates/Venues are subject to change however we will try as best we can to keep them as is.
You must be a paid up member of Surfing SA to be eligible to compete. Members of Yorkes Jnr, Microgroms, Maladjusted or SCBR must have signed up to these clubs by 28 February ‘2018.You must agree to the entry conditions. The State title results will be used as a guide to select the state team. (Please refer to the Selection Policy on our website. - on the main page click on about and you will be directed to our policy page where you will find the criteria) . The junior event is a stand alone event with the seniors being held at another time to allow us to focus our efforts on the junior participants.
A second division entry is allowed. Please first enter your preferred division. Price for a second division entry will be $90.00 for 3 rounds. TO ENTER A SECOND DIVISION PLEASE CONTACT US AND WE WILL ARRANGE ENTRY.
NOTE: The Junior Longboard Divisions will form part of the Southern Surf Festival only so there will only be 1 round.

Contest day ie: Sat or Sun will be announced on the SSA Facebook page on the Thursday before the weekend of the event.
Contest venues will be announced on our Facebook page Surfing South Australia on the day of the event. Meeting venue for the competition day will be announced on our Facebook page on the Wednesday prior to the event. We aim to have first heats in the water by 8am. Food and drinks may be on sale at all events.
All entries are to be submitted online and need to be received prior to 20 February 2018 to be eligible for the first event.
Because these are 1 day events entries are limited so please do not leave it to late once divisions are full they will be closed.

To be eligible for the discounted rate you must not have competed in a state titles event before. You must be a Surfing SA member.
The board length is minimum 9 feet measured from the nose to the tail on the deck of the surfboard
The width dimensions are to be a total minimum 51 inches in aggregate. This is the total of the widest point, plus the width 12 inches up from the tail and 12 inches back from the nose
The board will have a single central n that may be permanently fixed or attached via a fin box. There must be no provision for any other fin configuration
The rails of the surfboard will be 50/50 or 60/40 from nose to tail
The board will have no resin edge from rail to tail
The fin will be at least 8 inches from its mounted base to the highest point
A provision for attaching a leg rope should be attached / inserted into the surfboard. The use of leg ropes will determined by the conditions and at the Contest Director’s discretion
The board will weigh a minimum of six (6) kilograms
