Hurley representative and legend surfer Wayne “Rabbit Bartholomew said “ I love coming to South Aus, I have an injury this year or I would have definitely competed. Conditions were awesome. It was a great day and I look forward to coming back next year. It’s great to see some of your young grommets giving it a go and others coming along to watch the event.”

Khai Adams narrowly missed out on a semi final berth. Gary Hayworth had a great run making it through to the quarter finals. In the end the man on man semi finals went to an all interstate field.
