TOYOTA Australian SUP Titles set to start in Geraldton

COOLANGATTA/QLD (Tuesday 30th August, 2016): Geraldton, Western Australia is about to turn into SUP (Stand Up Paddle) central when it hosts one of the country’s biggest gatherings of SUP surfers and racers for the Toyota Australian SUP Titles which begin on September 2, 2016.

 

More than 200 competitors will represent their States across three disciplines: surfing; technical racing between 4-8km of several laps in and out through the surf; and a 20-30km marathon.  

 

The opening ceremony will be held on Friday September 2nd at the Geraldton Multipurpose Centre with the Sunset Beach Holiday Park Marathon and the City of Greater Geraldton Technical Race in both SUP and prone paddleboarding having a two-day event window from Saturday 3rd – Sunday 4th September.

 

The City of Greater Geraldton SUP Surfing divisions will be contested over Monday September 5th and Tuesday September 6th.

This event will bring many spectators and competitors alike and we look forward to what is always a great competition from Surfing WA.”

 

Valued Surfing Australia partner Toyota will again hold naming rights to the event, which is expected to attract the country’s top SUP exponents.
