Surfing WA has recently signed a 3-year agreement with Three Crowns Media Group (3CMG), a new joint venture that will allow the organisation to further the development of surfing at the grassroots level, support events and broaden audience reach.

3CMG includes Coastalwatch and Surfing World Magazine within a portfolio of action sports platforms. Coastalwatch receives over 3.5 million page views monthly and has a highly engaged coastal audience. This makes it a perfect place for Surfing WA to promote partners, events, activations and to increase viewership.

3CMG General Manager Doug Lees said “We’re thrilled that we are able to help bring grassroots state surfing into the homes and devices of more people in Australia.”

“There’s no better time to be part of the surfing community as it becomes more professional and inclusive and we’re stoked that we can provide any additional reach or support for the state bodies.”

Surfing WA CEO Mark Lane shared a similar sentiment. “Having the support of a media savvy outfit like 3CMG is sensational. This complimentary alignment is critical for the total development of the sport to ensure we are not only recognising champions, but also those partners who support grassroots events and programs along the pathway”, said Mr Lane.

This partnership has been initiated ahead of what promises to be a huge summer season for surfing across WA.
